Salt causes the body to retain water which can lead to skin inflammation, rashes and pimples. Keep these foods to a minimum, or cut them out of your diet altogether to help your skin avoid the affects of water retention.

A persistent rash can be a symptom of toxins in the blood. To purify the blood, take a mild herbal laxative followed by a cup of burdock tea. Make the tea by steeping 1 teaspoon of burdock root powder with 1 cup of hot water. Drink the tea nightly until symptoms dissipate.
